I send my son to public school because of the education and social and sports opportunities

I don't have school age children, but I would choose public school -- it's where I went and got a good education. I've taught kindergarten and elementary children, and wouldn't want that same responsibility at home. *Thanks* for the giveaway!

We send our child to public school because we feel this is where she should be for now, however, we are keeping homeschooling in mind as an option as well.

Public schools (although they all went to a private preschool) because we are public school teachers and believe that as long as there is much parental involvement our children will do well anywhere.

I choose public schools. I feel that children need the time to socialize and learn things I can't teach.

We're homeschoolers. We had actually planned on homeschooling before we even had children, because we thought we could give the kids a quality education while still having fun together. After we realized my son had some special needs, it seemed like the best option for us anyway, as we can proceed with his education at his own pace.

We have an excellent public school system here so that is where they go. They love their teachers and the principal knows all the kids names and greets them when they walk in the door everyday. I also like the diversity, having friends who are Chinese, Indian, and Jewish just adds to the educational experience.

My children went to public schools, and then a performance arts school(public but very exclusive)
I was really lucky, my kids went to a fabulous school --lots of parent participation mandatory-- they were very involved in music, drama, and art that's what made me choose the public school.

We homeschool, always have, always will. My husband and I feel like this is where God is directing us and it has been fabulous. We have lots of fun together, works great with hubby's crazy work schedule (he's a paramedic) and we get to socialize a ton as I am also a leader of a large homeschool support group in my town!
I LOVE seventh generation! :) Thanks!

We homeschool our children, and I was always homeschooled by my wonderful mother who passed away a month ago. :-( I had a godly mother who taught me of the Lord, and I would never go against the teaching I grew up with! Homeschooling our children is where we feel like they should be, sheltered from the world while they are little. Thanks for the great giveaway! I came over from the woodshed. :)

I homeschool. Our public schools here are great, but my son was reading on a 4th grade level by the time he started kindergarten. He would have been BORED TO DEATH. Also, I don't like full day kindergarten, esp. for boys. We are taking it year by year, this year he is in "first" and my daughter is doing pre-k. We also love spending time as a family and doing things together. :-)

Even though I have four children (with 4 years of each other to the day!), my main reason for sending them to public school is for the socialization. I still do a little 'home schooling' on Saturdays with them, and we tend to structure our holidays around learning experiences because I don't believe the school system is teaching the children enough. It is a little too much about socialization, but this really is necessary to succeed in life, so it's off to school they go, with the real meat of their education from home!

We homeschool because we want as much time with our kids as we can before they grow up!
